There is nothing quite like the thrill of going behind the scenes of a theatre and a guided tour of the largest theatre on the South coast is guaranteed to fascinate all. Who could resist the chance to stand on stage at The Mayflower?

Our knowledgeable and entertaining tour guides will take you into the auditorium to view some of the architectural features that make our theatre so special, and from there into the backstage world of The Mayflower.

We also screen a specially commissioned 15 minute film about the history of this wonderful theatre, which includes interviews with local theatre goers of all ages, some top stars of our shows, and a fantastic insight into the world of producing shows in a series of interviews given by some of Britain's foremost theatrical producers.

And what better way to end your tour than in our historic Empire Suite where you can relax with a range of refreshments whilst watching our film.

We also offer tours for any groups (such as Women's Institutes, Probus and Rotary clubs etc) on customised dates, and can tailor visits for schools, young persons and educational group accordingly. All tours must be pre-booked and are subject to availability, as unfortunately due to the nature of our business we may not be able to offer every day as a tour day.
